Closed doors can be a gift

Don’t you hate it when a door closes in your face?

When a hope has been doused?

Or a longing denied?

Dealing with doors that close on something we want can be discouraging.

But sometimes they’re a gift.

An answer to a prayer for direction.

A denial that allows us to walk through another door that God is holding open.
